Diskusi : Hudud - Tuntutan & Perlaksanaan dalam Konteks Malaysia : Anda Patut Hadir

Dear friends,

HUDUD – ADVOCACY & IMPLEMENTATION IN THE MALAYSIAN CONTEXT

You are invited to a discussion this Sunday morning with the good professor from Kelantan who has studied comparative religion before inTaiwanEngland and other countries.

See attached for the Hansard extract of the historic enactment of Hudud in the Kelantan State Assembly in 1993, two years after PAS under the leadership of Tok Guru Nik Aziz re-captured the state from UMNO.  Even UMNO dared not obstruct passage and voted for the enactment.  The discussion will be based around this source document.

It was also made clear then that Hudud is not mandatory for non-Muslims, something the mainstream press has kept hidden from us all as part of the agenda of demonising PAS.  See page 5, 5th paragraph: “Tambahan pula, jika mereka tidak beragama Islam, mereka terkecuali dari hukuman ini.

The learned professor has conducted many intellectual debates with us before on issues which are most relevant for the future well-being of our nation of diverse faiths and cultures.  I shall never forget the discussion centred around PAS’ position that the only people who are not “pendatangs” in our country are the Orang Asli.

Contact me 012-3827811 if you are not sure how to get to the venue in Taman Sentosa, Klang, off Jalan Sungai Jati.

You can google “google map malaysia, jalan bendahara 38, klang”.  About 300 m to the southeast of the “A” red bubble, across a palm oil small-holding, you will spot 3 rows of shophouses with red roofs.  The middle block is where the Pusat Khidmat is.  Zoom out to see how you can get there from where you are.

In the book just released, “An Uncommon Hero: M.K. Rajakumar in Politics and Medicine”, Dr. “Rajan” said in a Millennium Lecture in 2000:

“Partai Islam, which is the core of the opposition, has been surprisingly astute in reassuring the non-Malays that their way of life would not be affected.  They point, very effectively to the experience of non-Muslims in the state of Kelantan that they govern.  Consequently, the DAP is willing to take a risk with its non-Muslim Chinese constituency by allying with the Partai Islam.  The coalition may not last, but a thaw has set in and no way will Malaysians agree to go back into political deep-freeze.  Partai Islam has made a dent on non-Malay suspicions regarding their true intentions.  It is uncertain if they possess the faith and endurance to persevere in the historic task that they have taken upon themselves, to show to unbelievers the Islamic way to a new ideal in organizing society.”

MALAYSIANS WHO ARE SICK AND TIRED OF THE MANIPULATIONS OF UMNO USING RACE AND RELIGION TO DIVIDE US SHOULD START EQUIPPING THEMSELVES TO SEE THE TRUTH.  SAVE OUR COUNTRY BY SUPPORTING PROGRESSIVE ISLAMIC LEADERSHIP TO SMASH THE ROBBERS AND PIRATES WHO CLING TO POWER BY DASTARDLY TACTICS TO SOW DISSENSION AND CONFLICT AMONG US.

“PAS GANTI UMNO”

SPREAD THIS MESSAGE TO YOUR FRIENDS.
